PROGRAM
OVERVIEW
The studio runs two streams of pottery programs:
BEGINNER
The Experience workshop is an one-off throwing taster session that allows to people to give wheel throwing a go and take home their own creation.
The Full Intro course comprises of three casual classes and is programmed to give beginner with no previous experience a step-by step guide to the full process of creating functional pottery pieces, from throwing from a pottery wheel to trimming and applying glazes. At the end of the course, students will create about two projects to take home.
The Deep Dive is a fixed-term program designed for beginners to immerse themselves in wheel throwing and handbuilding pottery, and to develop the skills needed to create work independently after the term. Building on the foundations covered in the Full Intro course, the Deep Dive program places additional focus on refining hand movements, vessel design, and utilising a variety of techniques to achieve different forms.
INTERMEDIATE
The Project session is designed to help people with previous experience to practice their skills through completing their own projects with guidance. Class time is flexible. Students will go through the project plans at their own pace.
Project [ X ] are mini term workshops developed to help intermediate students to tune in and tackle challenging forms.
